The Alternate Route Master of Education is a teacher certification pathway designed for individuals who have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree and have secured a teaching contract with a school district under a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) license. This 2-year on-the-job and online program includes 30 graduate credits that are designed to support novice teachers in their initial placements. Completion of this program leads to New Jersey teaching certification in a specific content area that aligns with the CE license and a Masters of Education in Instructional Practice.
