Designed to acquaint the theological student with the general and particular landscape of contemporary American religion. Students will have an opportunity to read in-depth sociological portraits and broad overviews. Liberal and conservative Christianity is covered. In addition, students look at "sects and cults" in new religious movements and old religious movements such as Mormonism and Johovah's Witnesses. Primarily for theological students.
