Deals with understanding key concepts of language acquisition with the main objective of answering one central question: How are languages learned? Specifically looks at the individual, environmental, and social factors that influence the journey of acquiring a second language. Throughout the semester, teacher candidates may become familiar with fundamental theories and frameworks guiding the discipline of Second Language Acquisition, in addition to analyzing practical cases to better understand how these theories shape and influence classroom practice.
