Course Description
Focuses on curriculum-based assessment, progress monitoring, the design and use of formative and summative evaluation strategies, observations of student academic performance and behavior, and the collection and interpretation of student-level data for curricular and instructional decision-making. Functional assessment of challenging behavior and how to write behavior intervention plans as well as making accommodations and modifications to tests and other evaluation measures will be covered. Self-assessment of classroom instruction will be used to study practice to improve student learning. Emphasis will be placed on valid and reliable assessment practices to minimize bias
