Focuses on the intersections of composition, pedagogy, and social justice. Moving from analysis of how writers in print and digital spaces craft texts to disrupt and transform to engagement as writers themselves, students will have the opportunity to contribute to a social justice movement through their own compositions. Integral to this process is participation in a community of writers who read, respond, and support from drafting through publication. Through reflection on their processes as writers, students will have an opportunity to consider how to cultivate developing writers into writers for social justice.
