Course Description

An exploration of the historical development of Anglican Christianity, including the arrival and development of Christianity to the British Isles, the history of The Episcopal Church (USA), from its colonial origins to today, with special emphasis on TEC’s unique Polity. Another unit explores the historical rise of the Anglican Communion, highlighting the significance of the Instruments of Unity, and critically evaluating the Communion’s colonial past. Throughout, students relate this history to pastoral ministry.
